Hello, and happy October! (my favorite time of year thanks to my birthday at the end of the month)
We had a brainstorm earlier this week for some upcoming articles I have on my docket, and we got onto a little Pinterest tangent.
Pinterest has been in the news lately with their Collage Remixing. From my buddy, Lia:
“Pinterest knows Gen Z loves a collage, so they announced Collage Remixing, allowing users to collaborate and build on existing collages at a certain starting point, as well as Collage Sharing, making it easier to download and share collages in video format on other platforms.”
Incorporation of Pinterest into your influencer marketing campaigns is worth considering! Here are some tips to make the most of the platform:
- Ask creators to share their content from other platforms to Pinterest. For example, on a recent campaign we did for an ice cream brand, creators who had an active Pinterest presence were asked to share their content there.
- If you are working with creators who are known for their curation, task them with creating a board that features some of your brand products and then have them use the share feature to create sponsored content.
- Be strategic about where you use Pinterest. It’s best to limit it to categories that make sense. Food, travel, DIY, beauty, fitness, and design are all great for Pinterest. Healthcare or financial services are probably not a fit.
- Be sure to set aside enough money for any paid amplification you want to include on Pinterest. CPMs and CPCs are much higher than other platforms (especially Meta and TikTok), so you’ll need to budget accordingly.
Have you used Pinterest lately in a sponsored campaign? I’d love to hear about it!
