Hello, and happy July! I hope you had a great holiday last week, filled with good times with family and friends (and hotdogs). For today’s Swayzine, I’m excited to share a roundup of some of our recent press hits and contributions.
First up, I had the pleasure of contributing to Forbes with an article on “5 Unexpected Ways You Can Tell Your Influencer Marketing Campaign is Working.” This piece goes beyond the usual “likes” and surface metrics, revealing some of the more subtle (and interesting!) signs that your campaign is truly hitting the mark.
In other news, I was recently quoted in Campaign US discussing the challenges LGBTQIA+ creators are facing this year due to political turmoil and conservative backlash. It’s incredibly disheartening to see talented creators missing out on opportunities, and I shared my thoughts: “There’s a ton of fear and queer creators are suffering as a result of that. A post that might just be a person kissing their partner would have been totally fine a year and a half ago, and now that’s seen as risky or political.” You can read the full article here: Campaign US Article.
Lastly, I had the chance to join the Influence Global Podcast for an episode titled “How Did the Influencer Marketing Industry Start?” Sway Group has been around since 2011, and it was a blast discussing one of my favorite topics. If you’re curious about the origins and evolution of our industry, give it a listen: Influence Global Podcast Episode.
That’s all for now! Keep an eye out for more updates and insights from us at Sway Group. We’re always here to help you make sense of this ever-changing world of influencer marketing. If you ever want to chat more about these topics — or share your favorite dog toppings: for me, it’s sauerkraut and mustard, unless I’m in Chicago (and not to stir up unnecessary additional controversy but I do believe ketchup on hotdogs should be FORBIDDEN BY LAW) — just give me a shout.

Cheers,
